A slightly curved blade of darkened steel, its edge catching light like the rim of an ember. The crossguard is worked in the shape of two unfurling flames. The word KALIGOR is engraved along the ricasso in clean, deep lettering. The grip is old — the leather rewrapped more than once. This blade has been carried a long time.
Weapon Bonus
+1 to attack and damage rolls
Hearthblade
Kaligor's blade can be ignited or extinguished as a bonus action. While ignited, it sheds bright light in a 20-foot radius and dim light for an additional 20 feet. The flame can ignite flammable objects it touches — loose paper, dry cloth, oil, wood — which then burn and deal fire damage normally.
The flame itself, however, has no effect on living creatures. It will not burn flesh, hair, or hide. It passes through a living hand like warm air.
Emberstep
1 / Day As a bonus action, you ignite the space around you. A 20-foot-radius circle of low, heatless flame erupts centered on you and persists for 1 minute. The circle moves with you.
While the circle is active, each time you hit an enemy with Kaligor, that creature takes an additional 1d4 fire damage.
The circle ends early if you fall unconscious or choose to dismiss it.
